The Bible tells us that there is one God. It tells us that the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. This is not mathematics but a mystery.

The Bible tells us of the work of each: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That is why we trust, believe in, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Anyone who hears (or reads) what the Bible says about each Person and still denies that each Person exists is rejecting God's truth and is in danger of losing (or has already lost) his faith.

Perhaps you have learned that Oneness Pentecostals like to refer to John 10:30, where Jesus says: "I and the Father are one." The word "are" already suggests two persons and not just one. Moreover, Greek is like many languages in using different forms
of a word for masculine, feminine, and neuter gender.

The word for ONE in John 10:30 is neuter (neither masculine nor feminine). Thus, Jesus is not saying "The Father and I are one and the same person (masculine)." Rather, he is saying: "The Father and I are one being; we have an essential unity."

This is definitely not claimed by the Hebrew Bible, and I also do not believe it is claimed in the New Testament. The Bible rather claims that Yahweh is the only God. Not Jesus. Jesus is variously described as being human and God in the flesh. It depends on which Gospel you are reading.

If you believe the bible then that is what it proclaims. It is very clear on the matter, despite what trinitarians will try to claim. They use non-cannon material and meetings to help make their claims while totally ignoring other meetings or things discussed at the meetings they are quoting. That there is only one god is tantamount to the judeo/christian religion. One of the cornerstones of the Jewish religion (old testament bible) is the Shema. Duet 6:4 in Hebrew I believe it is Shema Ysrael, Adonai elohinu, adonai ecad (my apologies on the spelling). In English, Hear Oh Israel, The Lord Our God is One Lord. (some variations exists but meaning is the same.)

If you are not Christian than what the bible says doesn't probably have a lot of meaning for you.

Jesus was, by all verifiable accounts, a nice kind man who wanted the best for his fellow man. I do not believe he is god or the son of god.

The bible is also a wonderful book, filled with intrigue, murder, death, destruction, love and lessons. But it is not a history book nor is it a book of non-fiction.

I do believe everyone should read it, though... it's an important book in the history of civilization that has influenced many people, so everyone should know what it says regardless of religious beliefs.

Well, I don't have a belief in a god to begin with, so for the claim that a possibly-existant, long-dead, son of a jewish carpenter is the only God....I'd say in all likelihood no.

All religions claim that their God is the only God. They are all correct.

God goes by different names. He appeared at different times in different countries.
