research into mothers intuition and was hoping some mums out there can tell me of an incident(s) where it has been proven correct through personal experience. i never ignore mine however extreme it seems to my children or partner, and quite often my intuition has been proven correct after the event. i would like to hear about your experiance(s) with your intuition. thank you

i hear you Ms. Attitude...my husband used to tell me i was 'paraniod' when i didn't let the kids do something or go somewhere..the couple of times i 'let down my guard' and let them go anyway usually turned out that i was right. i now know never to ignore my intuition nowadays, and i don't care how 'paraniod' i seem to others, intuition is there for a reason, so i use it just like most. well done! ;-)

I completely believe it exists... One day after I had dropped off my daughter at her grandma's and was heading to work, I had this nagging feeling that something was wrong at my house. My fiance was there, and I was already late for work, so I didn't stop. Turned out that the thing that was wrong was that my fiance was busy packing to leave- and committed suicide. Women's/mother's intuition is strong, and it is there. I tell my preschoolers that I have "eyes in the back of my head", and they believe me, since I seem to know what they are doing before they even do it. I think part of "intuition" is experience, part is ESP, and part is from observing behaviors and logging the information without even knowing it. There are like little behavior differences that you perceive, without knowing that you have... that process in your brain, and leave that lingering worry that something is different or wrong but you can't put your finger on it.

I just had ny daughter but I know exactly what you are talking about. THe other day I was at work(i work graveyard) and I called home asasp because I felt short of breath all of a sudden and I knew something was wrong with my daughter Sure enough, she just learned how to roll over and she rolled right off the couch and was screaming her head off(she was fine) and before you say she was not being cared for properly, mu husband was watching her, he had one had on her foot and was reaching for the phone with the other, she is just so face, accidents do happen you know.
I also think that it is not only mothers intuition but womens intuition. My husband has been in a couple of pretty bad accidents and I could feel it when they happened. I just got thi sreally weird feeling that something was worng. I also knew that he was okay even though he should of died more than once. It is weird how much your intuition tells you. Never doubt a womens inutition, hardly ever wrong!

When I was a little girl, around 5, I was coming home from school on the bus. My mother says she was at home washing dishes when she heard ambulance and police sirens a few streets away. She immediately dropped the dishes, jumped in her car, and drove my bus route looking for us. She knew it was something to do with the bus I was riding, but what she didn't know was that my bus driver had accidentally run over a boy from our neighborhood as he was crossing in front of the bus to get to his house. I can remember it vividly and my mother swears that it was pure intuition. I can't say that I have had anything that serious happen since I've been a mother, but I always trust my instincts and they have never let me down.

I go through this a lot. I feel in my heart something is wrong, so I check in on all my kids and yup! One of them was going through a crisis. Sometimes the lil ones are playing and for whatever reason I decided to stand around them, when suddenly something falls or they were in a situation where if I had not been there, it would have been an accident. My hubby says I am over protective, so when something happens I say "you see, this is why I am the way I am"

when my 1st born son was a few months old he would cry for no reason. i knew right away something was wrong. the next day he was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery cause he had hernia. after several hours of waiting i told my husband the surgery was over, he just looked at me. a few minutes later the surgeon came out to tell us our son was ok. he just turned 9 in june and i still know when somethings wrong.

there were many times, when my kids were young, that i knew that my kids were getting sick, before the strep culture came back positive. Or the house would be too quiet for 2 toddlers and sure enough, they were in the bathroom playing with the toilet water , or one was cutting the others hair. Or i would call down from my bedroom, to remind a child not to forget his lunch, as he was walking out the door. And he would be like "wow thanks mom". a womans intiuition as well as a mothers intiution is our "6th sense "we were blessed with. It can drive us to worry though when we cant get our feeling out to our kids in time.
