I care about her as a sister but not as a girlfriend? Why don't girls appreciate that? If someone cares about you in a sweet and loving way, then you should cherish that.
I have asked this question before but never got any straight answers.

this is a hard one I am not most girls and had many male friends when I was a girl/teen I just got along with them better then girls. I guess your the same. You need to tell her that you like her the same as you like a sister tell her that there could never be any thing more then this as this is how you feel. I would rather be told by a guy that he likes me as a mate (not like a sister) most sisters and brothers do not hang out together but mates do if you want to hang out with her that is fine and just be her friend and do not go over that line and never let her go over the line be clear on where things stand. no more no less. All the best

it's the same vice versa... if a girl I like says to me that she cares about me as a brother not as a boyfriend... How can i appreciate that?? I want a relationship of which I can have a long lasting commitment to.. And I thought me and my good friend had that.. I guess not. It's just hurts when you have strong feelings for somebody, but the other person has different feelings than you.

Usually because the girl likes you in more than a "sister" way. Just tell her that you can't see her as the "girlfriend type" but that she is still a really close friend, like your sister. She probably likes you and that's why she'll be disappointed, but it's way better than going out with her just because she likes you.

girls don't appreciate that because thats how you love your girlfriend, in a sweet and loving way. just tell her nicely, she will get hurt i know but that's what life is about. getting hurt, getting over it, and moving on. it's a leason of life she needs to learn. either that or tell yourself , like think to yourself how come as a sister not a girlfriend.

You sound like this happens to you a lot. If this is the case then you are sending out some mixed signals. You should look inward and see if you are trying to get these girls interested in you so you can turn them down.

Get her alone and tell her she is a great friend to you, almost like a sister, and you hope that never changes. If they think you're a great looking guy, all they want is a relationship
