who else here goes to or went to a catholic high school?

I'm starting at one next year and I'm kind of nervous. any advice? please? thanks!

The one I went to was attached to a large cathedral. All girls. 99% were women teachers. We went to confession, high mass and benediction once a week, sometimes more. For some reason we had to do a lot of sports, not sure why. Rather strict, rather sober, made us all want to break out and be different. Anyway, I'm sure things have changed since then.

I went to a catholic HS, and transferred to a public school in my junior yr. There's nothing to be nervous about. The big differences are: Catholic HS's are a little more clique-y, little more materialistic, and the classes are smaller. In terms on academics, most are a little stronger in the humanities and weaker in sciences.

It's only four years of your life...just remember it's a means to an end. Don't worry about it!

I did! I went to a Catholic girls school.. We had first Friday Mass every month. Nuns were everywhere. The only guys we see are the security, the floor cleaners, and our Music teacher. Very strict!

I have heard so many bad stories about catholic schools. There are so many rich snobs at catholic schools. So many cliques and groups, the jocks, the preps, etc. and fights break out all the time. My friend (who is a little bit of a nerd, no offense) went there and hated it. He never fit in. Then he came to public scholl and made friends right away. All the catholic schools by me have so many drug busts, arrests, gangs, etc. It's just a hellhole.

no advice. just get ready for a lot of dogma you may or may not want to use later in life. the courses may be a bit more advanced than you may be used to, but in general you should be completely fine.

i'm proud to say i survived catholic school without a scratch, and have no doubts you'll be able to do the same.

I go to a christian high school. my friend goes 2 a catholic high school. she says mass and all that r overwhelming and they tie in religious morals into EVERYTHING which annoys them

haha don't go LMAO well go it's like any other skool w/ ppl n like stuff i guess but instead u pray n belive in god i mean com on like ur goin to make friends there so put a smile on ur face n be happy if that does not work then just try or like idk belive that it's the same as normal skool but w/ out the prayin n stuff

sweet i attended a catholic high skool....6 years straight i loved it, groomed me morally and a rock solid spiritual background no fake pastor or anybody can bullshit you. lets just say when u're done, some of you might be eligible to become priest and nuns, if u know wat ure doin.
