Xanax Went to the emergency room last night?

with a panic attack/ heart palpatations.. i didnt even know i was worried or anxious..anyways read all about the side affects and wanted to know peoples first hand experience with the drug? did it help you? did it make you suecidal? ect...just your experience . thanks

no i just heard suicide was a side effect, yes i plan on seeing a doc, tues!! um.. i have had panic attacks in croweded places ect, but i know how to calm myself down for 30 years this one was weird, hit me out of no where and didnt know the cause, what made me call the ambulance was my heart rate!, yes i am fowlowing up

Only side effect you'll get off Xanax is you'll get a little sleepy. After being on it for awhile you won't even get sleepy anymore it just takes the edge off. When they don't do the job anymore ask for Klonopin. The Xanax enter your system faster but the Klonopin stays in it longer. So for an immediate cooldown use Xanax but for prolonged cooldown try Klonopin.

Panic attacks & the like are very treatable, and are also a diagnosis of exclusion. Do be certain to see a qualified medical and/or mental health doctor in follow-up and soon to consider (exclude) other things that can mimic. Xanax (alprazolam) is a great medicine for intermittant use only, otherwise are better medicines for prevention & to broader periods of time.
Sucicidal thoughts are NOT one of the common side effects; if you felt that way after Xanax, what was going on is probably NOT panic. The emergency room is sort of like a band-aid; please do see the outpatient doctors too (as above). Good luck.

I have been on anxiety medications since I was 14.I'm 36 now.The thing about anxiety is that id does creep up on you.Xanax is totally safe.You will feel relaxed.The more you take it,you build up a high tolerance though.Xanax lasts up to 4 hours.I like klonpin,It last up to 6 hours.they are both benzodiazapine.It gives you the feeling of relaxation.The xanax is more addictive because it gives you rebound anxiety when it wears off.Since you are at the early point in anxiety attacks, It will be a while before this happens.I take 4 mg a day of klonpin.That alots for people just staring to have anxiety disorder.You will be fine.Its nice to know that when you go into an axiety attack, theres something to help you.

I am taking it right now for what I thought was a heart attack. Luckily after heart-cauterization on Friday, I didn't have one,. Xanax calms you down and makes you sleepy. It' s supposed to though. Be careful driving and working on it (I don't do that) but let's face it, life is frantic. Xanax is the Dr. way of saying "slow down a little, before you really hurt yourself" You can't stay on it forever, but yes, I do believe it is a big help for people.

I have taken xanax. It does help with panic and anxiety attacks. They may make you a little loopy and then really tired. You definitely don't want to drive or be home alone with your children if you have any. The first couple of times you take them it may b a little scary but they say you adjust but be careful b/c they can become addicting. I only take them when I absolutely have to b/c they still scare me sometimes and I am too afraid I will become addicted and I just don't want to have to rely on any drug. I hope you have good luck with them.

had a bad attack and did not know i was stressed either all i thought was i was going crazy so i went to my doctor and got the lowest dose of larazapam.it takes a few minute to work but i find to very helpful because u put to under your tongue and it dissolves you only take it if u feel the need
