Ok, I've known this 30ish year old guy for over 5 years. I'm 20. I really like him and he knows it. Recently we've been hanging out, getting to know each other better. After a few hangouts he tells me it'd probably be best to just stay friends but he'd like to help me with my holding back and shyness. So, I expected not to hear from him for a long time cuz that's the way it was before we started hanging out. He calls me up yesterday and wanted to know if I wanted to hang out. During our time together, he holds my hand, gets close in face while talking to me, grabs me around the waist and we danced to loosen up and be ourselves with each other. I don't know why i hold back when he is trying to help me, but now I'm all confused. If he just wants to stay friends, then why did he do all the holding hands thing and all that with me? I am totally confused. What do you make of this?

Because he's as confused as you are! And after thinking it over doesn't really want to miss the chance at something really good. Keep in mind though, a womans intuition usually isn't far off. At first he may have felt you were too young for him then is trying to get past that.

I think he's confused. He wants to be with you (romantically) but at the same time, he deliberately makes up his mind not to. He may have his reasons for not wanting to start a relationship with you, if for nothing else, the age difference. What to do now? It seems that this cycle of him wanting you/purposely staying away will continue until he can decide what he wants. If I were you, tell him that you are tired of the games. Stay away from him until he makes a decision he is confident in and then take it from there. Hope that helps!

You're clearly retarded. You rip on me and you have these "oh so perfect relationships?" He just wants to hump you, duh!!!!!!!!!!

One more comment: You couldn't even read the second sentence in my question and here you are writting an entire novel on your BS relationship with humperBoy. Get over yourself, I hope you choke on his knob!
