I have faith (which I try to do my best to practise daily) that Jesus Christ is God; Christ is eternally begotten of the Father. To have faith that Christ is God, appearing on Earth as a man, requires a conscious decision. There are three possible options one can accept about Christ: Jesus Christ is exactly whom He claims to be (God), or He is a mad man, or He is someone very evil. There is no middle road--he cannot be merely just some prophet teaching people to be nice to one another, as some people think He is. The Holy Bible leaves no room for that possibility. In the Bible, Christ forgives the sin that one person has done to another. What sane man would claim to be able to forgive you of a sin that you committed against another man? The ideas concerning the exact human and spiritual aspects of Christ are complex and at best theories. Ideas of Christ's nature were affirmed at various conferences throughout the early history of Christianity, and not all Christians agree. But, chances are that whatever background in Christianity one receives, that there are certain ideas held to be true regarding the way Christ exists, both human and divine.
The comfort derived in my Christian faith is that there is a sense of right and wrong that transcends the existence of the universe, that God created the universe, and that God genuinely loves his creations, so much that He would appear as a human to save us through the ultimate sacrifice. Life is not a meaningless exercise. The hard part is for man to "lay down his arms and surrender" to God, and to freely give oneself to God--harder than any of us will accomplish in a lifetime (I believe this surrender to God becomes perfect after this life). The easy (and hard) part is accepting Christ as your Saviour. If you let God into your life, and you freely try to give yourself to Him, He will take all of you; nothing less. Your old, human self will die in every way, body and personality will die, but you will gain back yourself, your true identity, through Christ. You will not be assimilated into God (if you were, you would no longer be an individual, and thus no longer exist). As a Christian, you will become a part of the body of Christ. You will be more than you ever were in this life.
I try to share my faith by being honest about what I hold to be true, and perhaps the best way I share my ideas of faith is through opportunities for discussion, as, for example, afforded through this forum (Yahoo Answers).

Well, he had to be to raise himself from the dead. It makes sense that he had power over dead, and the only one who has power over death is God, so therefore, Jesus must be God, and then what else he said must be true because God cannot lie.
I dont know how he did it, but he did, and he also managed to change my life too... No idea why (apart from love) or how, but thats the power of God.
