i,m not into drugs and naive i hear the word dipping alot so what is dipping?

it's chewing tobacco.
it comes in a tin (Skoal is a famous brand) and you pack the tin and then take a pinch of chewing tobacco (it comes in different flavors) and you put it between your side teeth and your lip and you kind of just let it sit there and you can't swallow the tobacco or you will throw up so you can't swallow your saliva either so you have to spit it into a cup... it gives you a good buzz but is kind of gross.

To me (born and raised in the UK); dipping means pick-pocketing

only thing i know of that is snuff used as tabbaco to put in your mouth like chewing tobbaco.
