It's almost like they think that we aren't able to handle the grownup details about it.
I mean, freedom is not a made in the USA thing, and exists on every continent.
This is a serious non-partisan question, and not meant to mock anybody. In fact, I'm more curious of what the the supporters of the prez think.

I remember the first time I heard this claim shortly after 911. I stepped back for a moment to reflect on the statement's validity and determined it to be hogwash. You can't simply hate someone on the other side of the world because they have more personal freedoms than you. It makes no logical sense. Yet Democrats and Republicans alike have been preaching this falsehood ever since, and the stupid media simply encourages ignorance. Al Qaeda even stated shortly after the attacks that the reasoning for it was America's continued interference in Middle Eastern foreign affairs. Yet our government doesn't want to admit that their policies have jeopardized the lives of Americans. And the media only vaguely reported this contention. Our government's answer: further meddling in foreign affairs. I love America, mom and apple pie, but our leaders suck! What was wrong with the Founding Fathers' line of thought: "Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations -- entangling alliances with none" (Thomas Jefferson)? This country is now filled with sheep who blindly follow whatever the government and media tell them. To those people, "terrorists hate freedom" is not insulting, but the unfortunate result of their brainwashed belief system. Those in power will always be reluctant to admit their mistakes for fear of being ejected from their seats. It doesn't matter how bad of an idea and resultant outcome their ideas were: U.S. foreign policy the last century, Social Security, public education, the welfare system.... They will not admit these policies were mistakes, even though they should be obvious to everybody. And if no one admits it, there was no mistake according to the flock. Isn't it ironic that everyone knows that becoming a politician is about power, money and prestige? Yet we continue to put these people in charge of vitally important issues which ultimately subject us and our immediate families to harm, unnecessary otherwise. America's greatest threat will not come from the Middle East or some other foreign power; in the final analysis, it will come from our nation's capital as a direct result of our complacency and acceptance of the loads of crap our politicians want to feed us. You, me, and a handful of others may be insulted, but it is unlikely we will do anything to correct what has been set wrong.

Some, on this site are too brain dead or anti-white to handle the concept that we are at war and the war is coming out of the middle east. I didn't see a whole lot about all the busts they've made here and abroad the past few days.

Yes...Because it shows that the people saying it don't take the time to really understand the issues. It's about a failed foreign policy in the mid-east. But you can't tell guys like John Skerry and the like that, because they start to claim that you're a liberal siding with terrorism. I seriously doubt that any of them have even read the solutions I've come up with.

There is a lot more to it than that. They do not want the infidels to live. If you are not Muslim you must dye and Alla will look on you with much favor. They have been told this from a very early age.

The more advanced countries just invent their own terror and then identify it where they want it to be, so they can then attack to achieve their agendas.
You cant fight terror it is an idea "the war on terror" is just buzz words to keep the sheeples happy at home and not thinking too much.

Well it is the truth though. They hate the fact that there is a place in the world where you can worship however you please. They hate the fact that women in this country can dress the way they do. They hate the fact that women here can be educated, can work outside the home, can vote and own property et cetra.... They hate the fact that we can be on here and openly express our opinions and criticize them and they can't jail us for it. I could go on and on.

I tend to agree with you. It's putting something that has been brewing for hundreds of years into little McTerms that we can swallow bite-sized.
