There is a cure for ignorance, but some people refuse the treatment.
The different angles of viewing fruit might help you to sensiblly answer your question.
Examples:
Botanically, The tomato, watermelon, green pepper, eggplant, cucumber, and squash are fruits.
Horticulturally, the tomato is a vegetable plant.
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled the tomato a vegetable in 1893, (and subject to import taxes).
As with beauty, it's all in the mind and eye of the beholder! (I believe it's a fruit.)
Many have died from AIDS that were not gay.
