ATL or Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is the busiest airport in the world on passenger numbers. And at completion in 2008, Beijing Airport in China will be the world's largest, but now, Jebel Ali International Airport in Duabi is the worldest largest.

I just read recently about London's Heathrow airport in a story about the recent terrorist attempt. I don't remember if the story said it was the Biggest airport, but it is the busiest in the world.

Close, rhsaunders. King Khalid (225 square km) was the largest until 1999, when it was surpassed by the newly-opened King Fahd International Airport (780 square km), also in Saudi Arabia.
