Long hair or short, i like the long haired ones, I think they are cute, but how bad do they shed. Is Stretch a good name?

Short haired ones shed too. Just be careful on how you hold them, and when you get one get pet insurance for it. The long back can be easily damaged if the dog's held the wrong way and it could also be a problem in the future.
But either way they're personalities are sweet.

Their hair will be longer and they shed a little more than the short haired and Stretch is a cute name

A long haired dog doesn't shed any more than a smooth coated one, just the length of the hair is different. Get whichever size or coat type, including wire, you like best.

Have you looked at getting a standard rather than a mini? I love my short-hair standard.
Don't think that the short haired don't shed. I think the short haired ones are worse for shedding. Those darn tiny hairs get in your clothes, and you'll never get them out.

We got a miniature short hair a few weeks ago and haven't had any shedding problems at all. She's super sweet and soft. She's a black and tan so we named her "Guinness".

Miniature, short haired, black and brown. I had a girl one for 15 years. She was the best dog I've ever had

I love them all, but I have only had the smooth coat. Currently have a female black and tan. My husband loves the long-haired red ones.
Stretch is a great name!

I have a long haired on, and really he doesn't shed that much at all..... I think stretch is a great name
