I am getting the same number of hours of sleep, so I don't understand why it makes a difference, but to my body it does.

Possibly because (genetically speaking) our bodies are hardwired to the rhythms of sunrise and sunset. An earlier bedtime seems to offer better rest because we are conditioned to expect to be asleep at certain times. That's my unscientific guess, anyhow!

Hi,

Your body does different things during different times of the day.

11pm-2am in the morning are when your body is focused on working on detoxification of the liver. It is only during this period that (if you are in deep sleep), your body produces special chemicals to aid this process..

Therefore, when you are unable to do that, you will overwork your liver and will thus feel tired upon waking cos your liver has been working overtime due to the overload of toxins.

Also, you may find that if you sleep late, despite having longer hours, you may still have dark eye rings around your eyes.

Also, different bodies achieve peak performances at different times of the day. Since you do understand that your body performs better and likes it better that you sleep early and wake early, why dun you just give in? ;)

Everyone enjoys being full of energy and looking radiant, dun you agree? ;)

Sleeping and waking up late makes your body tired. Even though you get the same amount of sleep, waking up early in the morning gives your body a fresh feel. Your day seems longer and psycologically, you feel better.

your body has a natural biological clock that when changed messes it up. my doctors at the va told me this and also that your body works on a 12 period at full. if you say wake up at 6 in the morning. you don't want to eat a full meal after 6 in the evening as your body shuts down to 50 percent to get rest just like if your asleep, but sleeping drops it to 33 percent. hence, that is why many people are getting over weight as they eat late and don't digest properly, thus gaining weight from improper digestion.

your body functions off of the amount of light given to the skin and eyes and sleeping odd hours and being away from forms of sunlight that your body needs can make you wake up tired.

Its called a circadian rhythm (sp) its like our bodies own clock.... it gets in a routine of sleeping and waking at certain times and when that isn't consistent it makes you feel tired.
