My mom. I have a dead beat dad. He was never around when I was a child. When I became an adult, I tried to build a relationship with him but it was a waste of time because he is not interested in being a dad. My mom on the other hand has been and still is there for me no matter what I need her for.

That is really a difficult question. I loved them both in different ways for different reasons. My Dad has always been the one who provided for the family and not just monetarily. He is an extremely moral, honest, intelligent, loving man who has enriched my life in so many ways. My Mom passed away in Feb., she was the glue that held the family together. she was kind, compassionate, friendly, giving, loving, nurturing. The kind of person that just drew other people to her, the kind of person that you couldn't help wanting to be in her presence. My brother and I are adopted so we were doubly blessed in that we had birth mothers who loved us enough to give us up for our own good and adoptive parents who were the greatest blessing two people could have received. so in answer to your question, I can't choose between them, they were both great parents.

I love my mother and my father but if I had to pick a favorite it would be my mother. She was always there for me when I needed it and my father worked on a big rig and was home mabby a week out of every three months.
