most will in a week. they are designed that way. some may feel as if they are still there at the two week period you go back for a check up. but you can pull the remaining sutures out after a week as i did.

mine never did. about 6 months after my surgery on my arm, the dr just pulled the end stitch and a 3 inch string ripped out and when he put it on the tray you could see chunks of meat stuck to it. sorry for being so gross and negative. but with all my other surgeries, they dissolved within a week or two.

Mizzle, you are out of line. John is asking about stitches in his mouth following oral surgery. They should be gone in 7 to 9 days.

about a week i think because i just got stitches but theyre in my leg and theyre just holding the mussle together and the doctor said about a week
