It is definitely possible to feel an immediate attraction to someone you've just met. I know because it happens to me all the time! I'm not sure about "love at 1st sight" unless you're the sort of person who loves everyone. To answer your 2nd question, I think this type of instant attraction probably is physical. To say that 2 people have "chemistry" may be more accurate than we realize. But physical attraction can be a starting point. If a couple can get past that & start looking each other's character & personality traits, then a more loving relationship can develop.

I don't think love is only physical attraction. That would be called lust my friend. I think love at first sight is some how knowing that this person is different and you feel their significance immediately, even if you don't quite know what that is. Sometimes, I think it is a somewhat subconscious reaction to when you initially meet a person. This, I think, is a feeling of love, but falling in love is something which takes time to develop. Love at first sight for me would be seeing that person's inner beauty immediately, and then fall in love with that person because it radiates so strongly, that it blinds you from their imperfections.

Love at first sight is when you see someone and you just know that that is the person for you. It could be the way they smiled when you meet, or the way they looked at you across the room or it could of been just your observing them that something your heart and mind came together and say...."that it"
It is both physical and mental, but it is real and it does happen. It happened to me, and it was so strong that everyone including my parent knew it and voiced it to me. I am married to the guy this day....love him like yesterday when I saw him for that very first time ................a long time ago.

love at first sight does not exist. That feeling is just a strong physical attraction to the other person, also known as lust. but love can come from this attraction it just takes some time to develop.

Meaning of love man thats a tuff one. I would say when I fell in love like can't stop thinking about her, shortnes of breath being near her, skip a bet of my heart, dreaming of her type of love. Thats how I felt when I first met my future wife. Its a feeling you get a gut feeling that you have finally found that one person that is meant to be with you. I took the first step and asked her out and we hit it off and by a year we got married and had two wonderful kids. When you fall in love at first sight has so much meaning for others and it differs with my experince, but it will hit you when you least expect it. I have dated so many women from one night stands, from one to week to 1 year relationships it all did not matter to me when I first laid eyes on my wife I cared not about her apperance if she was fat or to short it did not matter I found that one person I knew I felt that I had to be with.

It's just a strong attraction to someone. You might get butterflies in your stomach or something like that. But it's not really love. Just kinda feels like it.

Its when you see someone and their physical appearance is something where you say to yourself, "I could spend the rest of my life with her/him" regardless of who they are as a person.
