ok i think i get breakage cuz at night i toss and turn (my hair is thick and it is not wet when i go to bed) at night when im in bed and that makes my hair break, i really rub it against the pillow. i try using a hairtie to tie it back, but NO MATTER WHAT HAIRTIE I USE it always comes out (i never use hair-ties with metal in them) how can i keep my long hair in place?

Sleep in a silk shower cap or on a satin pillowcase.

I really don't think tossing and turning causes your breakage unless your pillow is made out of sandpaper. I would look into what styling products you use, and if you use a blow dryer, switch to thermasilk. You could also try deep conditioners, overnight conditioner, and as bad as this sounds, a sleeping bonnet.

you can try braiding it before you go to bed. also, you don't want to go to bed with your hair wet it makes it weaker when it's wet. do you straighten it? sometimes the heat from straightening it can cause it to bacome damaged and break. you could also try using a strengthening shampoo to help
