If you mean that the best defence is a good offence, then over here it's definitely the effective use of a hockey stick.
Or for some people, bad body odour ! Especially in summertime; gets you a seat on the bus every time!

a clove of garlic and a crucifix is an excellent armour in parts of transylvania. a giant helping of 'axe' should suffice almost everywhere else.
