Does God have a sense of humor?

This is a follow up from a preious question. "Is Jesus nice?"

I just finish reading most of Mark, and I got the impression Jesus was very mad at the way people were living. He said something to the effect of this is the "evil geration" five or six times.

So does God have a sense of humor? Does the bible ever mention Jesus laughing? He always seems so focused on the negitive...he even says that he wants to focus on the negitive. He said many times that sick people need doctors well people don't.

Several people have said yes God does because we have a sense of humor. This is false logic, it could be a sin (I'm not completely serious here but just hear me out). Much of what we call sense of humor comes from a mean place. Humor is cruel manytimes...that's why we call it making fun of someone.

Good Question. I read that God is a happy God and would love for all to be happy as well. Yes Jesus did get angry with the evil people and the money changers in the temple. He was furious because he said the people made Gods house a den of theives...That did not mean he was a meanie or anything like that. He was trying to get a point across. A message from God. Most were not even caring or listening to what he had to say.

Well God DID send His Son here on mission and not just for fun, although I would not be the least bit surprised if He did run and jump and laugh and play as a kid just as the other children did. However once Jesus was old enough to go abut The Fathers business He did so since time was "short".

Anyway...to answer your question. I believe God does have a since of humor. I have to. As I go through the day talking to God as I work I laugh at all the little goof ups and funny things I see, and knowing that God is with me I have a hard time imagining He too would not take joy in the unny little musings of His creations. Some times I think I can almost feel Him laugh with me even!

Yes I know God has a sense of humor, I can feel it within my comings and goings in life....

Of course Jesus was mad at the way people were living. People are ignorant. They walk through life doing what they want and never considering the consequences.

Psalm 37 says that God "laughs at the wicked, He knows their day is coming". There is nothing "funny" to God, though, about people going to hell. That's why Jesus spent so much of His time preaching on hell. More than any other subject, by the way. This time on earth is very short compared to all of eternity.

The short answer is yes, God has a sense of humor. If He didn't, we wouldn't either. ;) Jesus was God on earth. He certainly laughed. He had fun. He told the same stupid jokes every one else has told since the dawn of time. As he aged, though, there were more important things to take care of.

I would have to say yes. I mean my friend's dog will be laying in the living room floor and fart. It immediately jumps up to see what it was that tickled it's butt and there's nothing there. It's hilarious except for the smell. God made it that way so I would have to say God does have a sense of humor.

Of course He has a sense of humor. Exaggeration is a common form of humor. Do you really think Jesus believed you could stick a beam or post in your eye? As Foghorn Leghorn was prone to saying, 'It's a JOKE, son! A JOKE!!!"

We know so little of his life.From 1 to 31 are just speculation.I bet he went down to the bowling alley and bowled a few with the guys.Jesus was probably a regular guy since of humor and all.
