Well, he called me and left a message telling me to call him back, and I'm not allowed to call boys. I can't get him out of my head! How do I take my mind off of him?

Well, I've only met him twice at the park in my neighborhood with his friend (my neighbor). I don't have school in the summer and he doesn't go to my school. I like him alot, though!

I'm 14 and I've never dated before, so I think he might be the first one I'll date!

I'm not allowed to call boys because my mom thinks it sounds desperate.

Well if you're not allowed to call boys I'll assume you're fairly young. First off, just realize that this guy is just a guy and as such he probably can't get you out of his mind! Maybe not in the same way as you, but still...
And common, do you honestly think that your no calling boys rule is fair? Do your parents have any reason to not trust you? If not, then a phone call ain't gonna hurt anything. Just don't stay on the phone for very long... ;)

The first step is to put your mind on yourself and leave him in the back of your head. You sound young because you are not allowed to call boys. Listen to your parents and just be a child now. Love and boys come when you are mature and your parents let you start dating. It is your body saying you are going into pre woman hood so you are normal.. You have plenty of time for romance, be a kid. Zella

Well I've been in the same boat all you have to do is try to think of other things like from your past but try not to think of boys from the past oh and if you really like this boy you should so ask him out the next time you see him because the beter girl askes first!!!

I'd write a note/letter to him that tells him what you might say on the phone, and explains that you aren't allowed to call boys.
Sometimes writing how you feel (even if no one else sees it) helps you to stop thinking about it because it gets it off your chest.

If someone's on your mind all the time, it's for a reason. So you shouldn't try to get them out of your mind. Instead, direct that effort toward finding ways to keep in touch, despite whatever rules are placed on you.

it was totally sweet that he called you and that means he obviously likes you! in the mean time take things slow and get to know him better. talk to your parents about the no calling rule, calmly explain to them that you are 14 and that you are a good kid and you think you deserve some freedom. and the biggest thing to remember is to be yourself!! this guy likes you for you!
hope that helps!

Well, it sounds as if you still might see him at school or church or something so you may not HAVE to take your mind off him. But if you must, the best "cure" is to flirt with other guys and have a good time.

find other things to do with your time keep busy and remember your life should not revolve around me. You have the rest of your life to be with a man if you so choose just remember there are restrictions for reasons.
