Medical and physical tests are always required before the ROTC and to join the Air Force. Applications is open to all and only the cream of the crop are accepted.

Honestly you just sign up for the class. Although you don't have to do anything before hand I suggest working on your push ups, sit ups and mile and a half run since you first Physical Fitness Test will be 30 days from the beginning of class. The first day is all your "in-processing" activities. You have to fill out some different papers (these are NOT a contract!!), height and weight measurements, and you'll get you books.

You'll take two physicals. The first one is called DoDMERB. You have to pass this before you can try for a scholarship, are considered for Field Training, or considered for most of the summer programs. There is another physical which you do right before you commission but I'm not sure what it is called.

If you have anymore questions feel free to email me :)

I am doing Army ROTC this year, I didn't a scholarship... all you have to do is take the classes you just have to pay for college. I would contact the instructors and tell them you are interested and they will tell you what classes to sign up for and it will be downhill from there...good luck.
