when i`m mad, i usually tell someone how i feel; it feels much better or you can just write out how you`re feeling somewhere..

yeh i`ve been in your place; pissed off.. but nothing to do to let it all out. =\

Get away from the person/situation that's making you angry. Go outdoors for a walk, go to the gym and work out, mow the lawn, anything that will engage you physically.

While you're blowing off steam, think about the situation. Is it really worth all that energy??? Anger only hurts the angry one, not the one who is causing the anger. Calm yourself down. Think about anything that normally makes you smile or laugh. Certain people in my life just make me smile, make me happy. So I think of them. Kids and pets are good for that.

Put the situation into a long term perspective. Will you even remember the episode 10 years from now? If not, it's small stuff and inconsequential. "Don't sweat the small stuff." Hint: It's all small stuff.

take a deep breath. . .
Go outside
Yell and jump till blue
take another breath
yell again if needed
breath one more time
go back inside.
holding all your anger inside is not a good way to deal with it. It needs to be resolved, often just by talking to the person that made you angry.

Engage in some healthy physical activity (boxing, swimming, etc). Anything that will work you out to the point of exhaustion. You will feel so much better afterward!
You also might try yoga, meditation, walks in the park - activities to get you into a peaceful frame of mind.
Hope this helps!

Sorry, you caught me on a solid day. no longer something to vent approximately. Wait, ok. It''s now unquestionably raining with thunder and lighting fixtures right here in Iraq....and me with no rain coat. Does that count sort as venting?

I have been under treatment for major affective disorder, so I try not to lose my temper. An hour or so digging the garden usually helps me. I came near to giving one of my late darling's family an open handed slap to both ears. I was away when sh died of cancer and found they had buried her in their "churches" private plot. "Unknown to God" was on the stone.Thank heaven I did not strike as I might have inflicted severs pain."You're LESBIAN?" the woman said, "No,you're less than nothing." After that occasion I slowly became mentally disturbed. Their bigoted hatred lasted since we first lived together.

I usually take a hammer to some old piece of electronics or smash some glass. My most recent was a Palm Pilot VII.

i blast my radio and/or go for a really long walk even if its 1am& if i'm driving i blast the radio 2 and start screamin at the top of my lungs to the people driving that are pissing me off(with the windows up of course) then i start driving really fast but i'm working on it. i use to be like that, i almost went insane, my opinion of course...so now when someone pissises me off person 2 person i tell them to f**k off...best feeling in the world...not holding in your anger.

I scream like crazy.... I say everything that I ever wanted to the mirror so I can see just how mad I am...then I go and have a good cry.... Being amicable and passive all the time can really get to you! Good luck!

I play sports. Anything works really. Something about physically tiring yourself out removes your anger.
