What I do know about Jehovah's Witnesses is that, their Bible is written just like any other Bible. You can compare any verse and they will be the same, just worded in modern language. Jehovah is "Jehovah God". As in God, and he has a son named Jesus. No they do not believe that Jesus is God. How could God have sacrificed his only son Jesus if they were one in the same? Look at John 14:13,14 "also whatever it is that you ask in my name, I will do this, in order that the Father may be glorified in connection with the Son". Have you ever heard at the end of a prayer "I come to you in your son Jesus name, amen"? Also they do not wear all white and do wear jewelry. I am not a Jehovah's Witness, but my grandmother is and my great grand mother was before she passed. No, I don't know it all, but it is a peaceful teaching. They are not out to harm anyone. If you have questions, ask. If you have a Bible, pull it out and compare scriptures with the scriptures in their version of the Bible. You can ask them questions without strings attached, you will not become bound to them or their beliefs. Only you can make a judgment on how their beliefs differ from any other and what you believe.

Hi, I studied with the Jehovah's Witnesses for a bit more than 3 years. Since that time I've become a Christian (at the age of 21) and I've had the pleasure of being used by the Lord to bring many former Jehovah's Witnesses to Him.

As with most cultists, they have a sincere heart. However, they are also very, very deluded by their primary source for spiritual understanding (the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society).

I don't know if I can help you but I'm certainly willing to try.

Recently a clergyman in Brooklyn, New York, obtained a copy of the book The Truth That Leads to Eternal Life. He was so impressed with the chapter dealing with prayer that he used the book to teach members of his church this chapter in a special meeting. Later he was asked by one of them, “Are you teaching us out of those Jehovah’s witnesses’ books?”

He replied: “It is the truth, isn’t it? When you want Sunday-school literature, you buy it from several sources, don’t you? Well, Jehovah’s witnesses teach the truth. Furthermore, when you see Jehovah’s witnesses with the Watchtower magazine, you ought to take it, because they print the truth.”

If you want to learn more about Jehovah's Witnesses, they're different ways of going about it. Next time when they come to your door why not asked them politely about their beliefs if you haven't already done so. They'll be glad to do so. You could go to a local Kingdom Hall closest to where you are and listen for yourself. And there's always our official site at http://www.watchtower.org/. This way you know first hand about our Bible-based beliefs. It is a good way to dispel myths and misconceptions you may have heard from witnesses, particularly on this site!

Read Kingdom of the Cults by Walter Martin. Their true history is quite interesting. It tells about their translation of the bible and the background on the founder Charles Taze Russell. This book also talks about Christian Science, Mormons, Spiritism, Gnosticism, Scientology, and Islam. It's very informative and a good reference book. Happy studying!!!

Jehovah's Witnesses understand the Scriptures to teach that God's Kingdom will soon replace all earthly governments.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite

That Kingdom will rule over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

While a limitted number of humans will be resurrected to heaven to share in ruling over mankind, the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]

Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

Religion is mans way of creating order of faith.
Search what they teach and decide if it is right for you.

Basically, what I have found is that Jehovah Witnesses believe in the complete unity of all man-kind. They also believe in one Universal God that they call Jehovah. However, you need to either visit a Kingdom Hall or research their beliefs online. Always remember that congregating is a way to have 'fellowship' before our Lord.

What do you want to know, it would be best to ask them.
They won’t try to harm you, and most of the answers you get about them from others will be prejudice and just plain wrong.

(John 15:17-19) 17 “These things I command YOU, that YOU love one another. 18 If the world hates YOU, YOU know that it has hated me before it hated YOU. 19 If YOU were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because YOU are no part of the world, but I have chosen YOU out of the world, on this account the world hates YOU.

Any one following Jesus example will be treated this way.

For instance what Samuel and dannis said are completely untrue.
Lies though they probably believe it.

If you want to know what Jehovah's Witnesses REALLY believe. Go to their website:

If you go to any other website, all you will get is lies.
I hope you take the time to look up the information.

If you welcomed them and told them to leave you alone then they will NEVER leave you alone unless you move, change jobs, or convert. They give you a lot of pamplets and really try to convert you. I had talks with them and they never stop coming to my work. Even when I quit my job they passed their phone number to my co-worker so I may call them.

I say read about Islam. Read the Quran. It is a wonderful favor from God. Ask God to guide you.
