I was thinking of calling and asking her out. I was wondering if its better to ask her to have a drink with me first or ask her to dinner. I met this girl at a club and I briefly spoke with her but still got her number.

Easy.. since you met her at a club.. invite her out for a drink first but to a different club... then a dinner some other day.. after you see how things go when you have your drink.....Good luckl !!

Hmmmm--take her out for drinks--it's casual plus safe as there won't be any expectations.
