It's completely untrue. In fact, the majority of people I've kissed that smoke are better kissers with better breath than non-smokers that I've kissed.

I was dating a guy who knew I didn't smoke, and because of asthma, didn't handle it well. I thought he was a non-smoker. I never saw him smoking. I fell in love with him, which was then too late to find out my non-smoking sweetheart was a closet smoker.
Well, not really a closet smoker. He just didn't smoke a lot - maybe a pack a week, but he liked it. Of course, he had already proposed to me, and I had said yes, so then without the pretenses, I found out what it was like to kiss someone with smoke on their breath. I personally don't care for it. He is real nice about it, and doesn't smoke in the house or the car, and I almost have him where he is not smoking so much at restaurants.
Yet, what do you do when you love someone? You make sure they wash their ashtrays often!

Because if they don't brush their teeth and take great care, a non=smoker can CERTAINLY taste the smoke. It's nasty to a non smoker and tastes like an ashtray smells.

IT is about the SMELL and TASTE, nimrod...not the TALENT of kissing...WHEN you kiss a smoker the smell of SMOKE lingers on in their mouth, hair, skin, YUCK!!!!
So my suggestion to you is, go LICK an ash tray and see how it tastes...that is what ANYONE who kisses you is tasting...even if you brush your teeth after you smoke...
Sure, smokers can kiss GOOD...but they would TASTE BETTER and the KISS would be BETTER if they did NOT
SMOKE!
I kiss a NON -smoker LONGER and with more real passion than a smoker...

Gosh, it's the smell and taste of the kissing smoker, not the style of kissing.
Your smokers uses a mint, brushed or used mouthwash...a heavy careless smoker reeks in a most unpleasant manner.

Have they brushed their teeth and put mints in their mouthes before kissing you? Or straight after smoking?
Also - how heavy a smoker were they? A heavy smoker has foul breath.

I don't know about your experiences, but the taste of stale cigarette on someone's mouth is just nasty. To me, it honestly does taste like licking an ashtray. Maybe the people you have kissed had just brushed their teeth or used some gum or something.

my mom smokes but is considerate enough to smoke outside, also she brushes her teeth often and chews gum regularly. I dont know about the kissing.... I personally don't like it. Its disgusting. I made sure my husband was a non-smoker before i married him.

It depends on if you are a smoker, maybe you are not tasting the ash taste because it is already in your mouth. Sometimes my husband smokes a cig when we our out on the town, and I can always till when I kiss him.

Of course, they are better kissers they are sucking on cigarettes all day long. Its not the way they kiss its the taste they give off in their mouth, their skin ,their hair, their clothing, & their hands...Like kissing an ash tray, YUM!!!
