You can do it.

Firstly, you must have an FAT or FAT32 partition and Windows XP must be installed on another partition.

Secondly... but I will drive you to well-made guide instead of writing my own :)

Personally I don't blame you for not liking Windows XP. (personally I'm sticking to windows 2000) You'll need a windows 98 boot floppy to delete the NTFS partition with fdisk, create a fat32 partition, format the drive install Windows 98, download and install all needed device drivers. Microsoft isn't putting out anymore security updates but you can download and install all the security updates that they did put out. Don't forget the anti-virus and firewall.

Get a Windows 98 disc. Although, you wont be able to use things such as flash drives and some MP3 players that go through USB.

Not sure how you see Windows 98 as better but thats your choice.

If you don't like XP then format your system and reinstall Windows 98.

I moved up from Win98 to XP almost 2 years ago. I find it faster than 98 and have no problem with it. Why don't you tell us what bothers you about it? Maybe we can help.
