try cutting out every single carbohydrate in your diet. This means no soda, no bread, no fries or fast food, no pasta, no candy, no ice cream, and no fruits for the next two weeks! You should lose 5-20 lbs in 2 weeks. I know it works, cause I've been on this diet, its called the south beach diet. You can snack on veggies and nuts like pistachios. You can eat meats (hamburgers without buns, Canadian bacon) and cheeses (provolone and mozzarella) as long as they are low in fats. Drink skim milk all you want, but you cant have cereal! You can also eat eggs. Also stay away from peanut butter because of the added oils and stay away from jellies and most condiments like mayo and ketchup...anything with extra added sugars. You can eat alot of salads, but make sure the dressings are south beach approved, there will be a light blue circle on the front stating its ok to use on the south beach diet and make sure you follow the serving sizes! Make sure to drink lots of ice water (you can add lemon or lime juice to flavor it). Good Luck!

i'm 22 5'5" 140 lbs. I lost about 40 pounds within the last year (so when i was 21 i weighed 180lbs.) I cut out soda, drank lots of water, and started walking everywhere i could. What people don't really look at when they're trying to eat better is what they're drinking too, Also, if you read your nutrition facts, don't look at calories or fat so much as sugar content. That's a big help too.
One last thing, don't stick to one kind of food while you're doing this. Be sure to get all your food groups so you get the vitamins and stuff to stay healthy while your body changes. (sorry i sound like a health teacher...)
Good luck on your plan, just don't turn to the weight loss pill thing. One of my friends in high school tried something like that and got sick.

As a teenager, it takes a huge shock for your body to change weight. I have been the same weight and height since eighth grade, and am about the same size as you. But now I carry it differently. If your stomach is problem area though, I would suggest Maybe upping the amount of crunches gradually, and it may take a while, but it will tone up eventually. And don't be depressed when the scales say you are still the same weight. You may look smaller, but weigh more, as muscle weighs more than fat.

If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.

Hi,
To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Besides some additional nutrients are required to speed up body metabolism.
Here is a site that is really going to help you

Make sure you are drinking a lot of water. Also, keep track of your calorie intake. A lot of "healthy" food out there are high in sugars and therefore high in calories so reade the labels. Also, swimming is a good exercise to burn fat. Keep in mind your height and weight seem fine to me. I am sure you are beautiful so dont beat yourself up in the mirror.

when you diet it doesn't mean don't eat but rather the type and how you eat. If you just stop eating it disrupts your matabulation-
which is your bodies ability to break down the foods that you eat for energy.
Another thing is your water intake. Water is very important I kinda forget what it does exactly but i do know this....
Drink plenty before you exercise and just before you go to bed.
FYI. drinking water before you sleep is also and old farmers trick to get up for sunrise lol

if you take the vitamin called L-Carnitine it'll will speed up your metabolism and help burn off the extra carbs. also, you need cardio work outs dear! walking doesn't get your heart beat up, there fore you do not burn calories. jumping jacks, up-downs (start from push up position, then jump up and then jump back down, etc...) that'll make you sweat, and if you sweat then it's burning cals. Also try weight work outs. won't make you loose the weight, but it'll turn it into muscle and then you'll get a flat tummy!

To be honest, for your height your current weight is considered ideal; and it can be hard to lose lbs if you don't even need to. If you are at your right weight, and if you stand at a good BMI, then you don't need to lose. And if you do, you could become very sick and gain it all back.
