I don't know why people think that being saved is that easy...accepting christ as your personal lord and saviour and that's it....boom, you're saved. There's so much more to it than that. if it were that easy, then a bank robber could go to heaven on those terms because it's possible that bank robbers also believe in Christ. Heck, Satan believes in Christ, he has a perfect knowlege that Christ exists, but he's obviuosly not going to heaven. So, i think that you don't get to choose if you're saved, that's up to the Lord and according to how you lived your life. I don't think it works like one second you are saved and then the next second you're not.

First things first, I believe salvation is believing by faith that Jesus Christ paid for our sins with His blood on the cross. I believe we all stumble at times and sin. I also believe that when we sin, the Holy Spirit convicts us and draws us back to God. If we confess our sin, our relationship with God is restored, but if we refuse to repent and confess and continue to sin, our relationship will deteriorate, at some point we grow cold and that relationship is ruined. The apostle Paul calls this turning from the faith.

1 Corinthians 15:2 - "By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain."

It is only a trusting, submitting and enduring faith in Jesus that will get us an entrance into the kingdom of God. We need to get saved and stay saved to escape the lake of fire. In other words, we must endure to the "end." That is why the Bible calls the Christian life a race. Nobody who quits midway wins.

Yes, If you let the spirit leave your heart then you are not being guided by the right light and sure to come to realize that you are empty without Him. Therefore you would be saved again after you surrender your life to The Trinity.

No it is not possible to lose your salvation once you are genuinely saved. However I think that there are many "christians" today who are really not Christians and they may appear to have lost their salvation although they really never had it in the first place.

In Jesus's eyes once saved always saved! That does not mean that we do not fall out of the word of God and back to our earthly nature that we have. It is a everyday battle between our spiritual side and our earthly flesh!!!!

You were never "saved" in the first place unless a minster jumped out in front of a bus to knocked you out of its way. But that is very unlikely because he is probably in that motel room over there with a little alter boy.

No it is not possible to go back to being unsaved. Once you are saved, you are saved. However, you can fall back into sin, after being saved.

It tells in Hebrews "Never will I (God) leave you, Never will I forsake you." Which means that if you are a real Christian you can not and wouldn't want to go back...
