You are not required to take GED classes in California!
The only institution that could require you to do so might
be a college or university for entrance requirements.

You can certainly work at your own pace. Do not call the school, call the home school group. The school will work to get you back into school because they get money for your enrollment.
The homeschool group will help you--there are GOBS of
homeschool graduates in California!!!!!!

Call or e-mail CHEA at the numbers listed above~

Before you decide to study on your own, you need to be frankly very brutially honest with yourself.

Not everyone has the self discipline to sit down and STUDY to make it happen.

Do you have that self discipline? Can you force yourself to sit down, each and every day and cover all of the topics involved? Last time I checked (1985) it had 13 specific topics- are you willing to sit down, each and every day for 6 hours a day, for 26 weeks to learn this stuff?

if ANY of these quesitons I've asked is "no" then don't even start it.

My quesiton is- what is your problem that you can't go to school?

The GED is just a test. If you take and pass it, you get the GED equivalency. Answer is, you can self-study anywhwere. You just need to be able to pass the test. Pls see link.

My grandfather always said,"Want in one hand and S**t in the other and see which one gets filled first".

Get off your a** and go to school so you can get used to going out for a job.
