my first relationship was very heartbreaking. we were in love in 1978 when i broke up with him on my 16th birthday. we both married other people, and didn't talk for over 20 years. i just got off the phone with him a little while ago. we've been talking off and on again for the last couple of years. we're both single now, but it's a different kind of relationship now, and a different kind of love. it's hard to explain. after all those years apart, we're different people, but still the same. btw, i'm no longer physically attracted to him. he has health problem, but his main problem is that he's an alcoholic, therefore we're just close, dear friends. a first love teaches you many things, but all love evolves over time. it wrenches out your heart when you lose the "one that got away", but they went away for a reason. it just wasn't meant to work out.

My first relationship was in kindergarten, when I was totally in love with a boy named Cory Michael. It's definently the one I'll always remember as the first, because he pushed me too hard on the swings and I fell off and bloodied my nose, but it really wasn't the hardest.
