Synthroid is an artificial version of the hormone produced by the thyroyd gland. It is prescribed for persons whose thyroid gland is underfunctioning, producing symptoms such as lethargy and poor concentration.

Perhaps you’re one of the millions of patients who were prescribed Synthroid to treat your hypothyroidism – a condition where your body’s thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone.

Fortunately, your doctor has identified the symptoms, performed the necessary tests to confirm a diagnosis of hypothyroidism, and most likely prescribed Synthroid to replace or supplement the thyroid hormone in your body.
