My goldfish looks like it's growing a beard??

It seems to have strings coming out under it's mouth..it is creepy and looks deformed. Any ideas why??

it is not worms

it may be a parasite of some kind maybe not worms but fungus (very common if poor water quality) you can pick up treatment from your pet store.
