If your CD doesn't have a timer itself, then go to Radio Shack and buy one of the timers they sell for lights in the house. You know, the ones you use so that people think you are still home when you are actually on vacation. You can set it to turn off whenever you choose.

I turn on my CD player sometimes, but it doesn't run the entire night. I use a portable radio most of the time beacuse they do run the whole night.

i use to use my discman on house current use it all night with headphones on ,it was awsome i would listen to mellow music though it would put me to sleep with some nice dreams.

some have sleep timers..others u can set to run an hr and then it will shut off
