THERE IS A SUCH THING AS REIGERS SYNDROME!
There are two types.. Axenfeld Reigers and Annimoly!
Because I have it. I was diagnosed when i was a baby! Reigers syndrome is a genetic disease/defect in the chromosomes that alter facial formaties, teeth, sometimes effects hearing, and can cause eye problems like glaucoma, blindness or an effect of lazy eye. I have a slight case, so my right eye only looks like it is drifting. There is more research being done on this medicical "mystery" but it usually isnt deadly. It can potentially be passed on to the next generation, but normally only if it is a male who has the dominant gene. My parents have studied this over the course of my life, and I too, and now that I'm 17, I started researching too. My mom actually presented the information to my first doctor who couldnt diagnose me...and I was referred to someone else and they confirmed I have it. If you have any questions (anyone) feel free to contact me- I'd be glad to talk with you.
Also- please don't say there isnt a such thing..if you arent positive. Thanks.

I have also lost a child to SIDS - he was just six weeks old. I had however read all of the literature about SIDS before he was even born, and took all the recommended precautions. As well as my personal research, all mothers went home from hospital with a SIDS prevention sheet, and yet my baby still died. As I'm sure you know, SIDS is just what they attribute an infant death to when there is no other cause they can find. The woman who talks about immunisations and SIDS is just plain wrong - there is evidence that babies who have been immunised have a lower incidence. It breaks my heart that she can use the tragedy that is losing a baby to further her stupid anti immunisation agenda. Childhood diseases cause more deaths than SIDS, and I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone. I think that SIDS isn't discussed that much because it's too much for people to bear - you only discuss it when you have to, with people who have been affected. I wish you both good luck in furthering your cause and coping with your heartbreak.

Hesmycorky4life -- I corrected my answer and you're right, I should not have said "there is no such thing as". I worded it wrong and should have said "I don't know what Reiger's syndrome is, I've never heard of it before" as I had not before now. I tried looking it up before I answered this and also could not find any information about it. I've been an MT for almost 10 years and have NEVER typed that before, is it rare?

Reiter's syndrome is a complication of recurrent STDs!! The signs of Reiter's syndrome are:
1) Can't see (Uveitis)
2) Can't pee (Urethritis)
3) Can't dance with me (Knee arthritis or heel spur)

You have that for life as it is an autoimmune disease!!
