That's what my doctor recommended. She said it was a lot cheaper than the calcium supplements.

That's NOT what Tums should be taken for.
Now it's "Nutrition 101" time...

Vitamins are what we in the nutriceutical field call "potty pills" or "expensive urine". Think about it...there is nothing found in nature containing 100 mgs of ascorbic acid, 100 mgs of B-6, 500 mgs of calcium lactate/gluconate, etc., especially in their isolated forms. Focus on eating right and whole food supplements only (where bioavailablility can be proven by credible resources). If you'd like a fresh and honest look at nutrition, go to www.PreventionProof.com and enjoy the education. You will NOT see lame testimonials or endorsements from doctors "on the payroll" - but real third party studies.

For your convenience, I've also uploaded some information on this to my Yahoo Briefcase which you can freely download. There's other health stuff there, as well, relating to high protein diets, building up the immune system, ideal blood tests, cancer, macular degeneration, diabetic neuropathy, free radicals, antioxidants, phytonutrients, etc. http://briefcase.yahoo.com/apuzyr

Yes. The benefit is that you don't have to take the whole daily requirement at once, thus improving the chance that you will get the full daily dose.

yes you can take them but your body WILL NOT absorb the calcium needs without vitamin d so you should consider taking a vitamin d supplement with it.........or it will just be a waste of time taking them and a waste of money buying them

why bother with something with added ingredients you don't need on a daily basis?
