Yes, I do.

Orthodox Christianity began at the same time as the modern Catholic church. Both due to the split of the Roman empire by Constantine, this is also the time that the first modern bible was compiled. The Orthodox Church was tied to the Byzantine empire, or East Rome, it's capital was at modern day Istanbul (used to be Constantinople). Saint Sophia, currently a mosque, was, in a way, the Orthodox churches Vatican in Constantinople.

The Byzantine empire influenced many eastern European cultures including mine, Slovak!

The Orthodox Church adopted most of its culture from Greek culture whereas the Catholics adopted its culture from Roman cultures. The most common known Orthodox is the Greek but there are also Russian churches among many others.

Orthodox Christians are a very early denomination of Christians. Once I saw a bumper sticker that said "Orthodox Christians: Getting it right since 32 AD" It made me laugh in a good joyous way. My older brother's spirtual journey took him to study at St Vladimirs Orthodox Seminary. Most of what I know about the Orthodox church I know from my brother. The most important revelatory spirtual experience has come in my practice of praying the Jesus Prayer. Very simple but very powerful prayer. The basic form goes: "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy upon me, a sinner." Very humbling. Very sincere. Very loving. I have altered it somewhat. I pray "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God have mercy upon us." Since we are all fallen, the sinners is assumed in my version I ask for mercy for us instead of just me because I feel that is in line with what Jesus taught.
