Slim-Fast does have it's advantages. If you look at the back of the can there will be a label with all of the vitamins and minerals it contains....it's really quite impressive what they have put in this drink. Does it work? Well, if you follow the diet strictly....yes it will work. A shake for breakfast and lunch plus a sensible dinner. You can also enjoy a couple of healthy snacks during the day. Now, a drawback of the diet would include the fact that it is practically an all liquid diet. If you have the discipline to follow this diet....Great! If not, you will feel like your starving yourself and in the end you may start eating more calories before slim-fast. This diet, like most that are out there, depends entirely upon you. If you follow it religiously while exercising everyday you will see amazing results. If not, your wasting your money. Good Luck!

Slim fast is just a temporary fix. What works is eating smaller portions more often. Try six small meals a day. By doing so you will increase your metabolism therefore allowing the body to burn stored body fat. If you add exercise to the equation espeicially a strength training program ( Curves ) you build lean muscle mass back that you may have lost through the years espeicially if you have not been exercising. Remember the more lean muscle mass your body has the quicker you will burn stored body fat even at rest!! Once you hit 30 and female you can lose almost 1% of your lean muscle mass a year if you are not exercising. So eat small portions 6 times a day with a good balance of protein, carbs, fruit and veggies, drink 8 glasses of water a day which increases metabolism, and try a strength program such as Curves. No it doesn't ..it is high in carbs and low in protien. If you want to lose weight permanently...use a balanced diet.(i.e.Zone Diet or 40-30-30 plan)..balanced in carbs, fats and protien. Excersize at least 3 days a week where it make you break a sweat and walk the other 4 days for 30 minutes or more.

I don't know about slimfast. But try this: Change your lifestyle and do this forever. Drink lots of water, walk an hour every day except 1 then do stretching and upper body toning. Eat fruits & vegetables.
No sugar
No sodas
No candy
No chips
No potatoes
No pasta
No pizza
no corn
no bread
no burgers
no fried foods

,Most any diet product will work if you really eat only what they tell you. Slimfast does work, but if you don't exercise you will lose more slowly. The problem with diet foods is that you eventually stop using them and often return to your old habits only to gain the weight back. I would know as I am a professional dieter! Ugh!
