Israel has basically LEVELED most of southern lebanon. Israel has killed over 1000 Lebs and only lost 150 Israelis (mostly soldiers).
Yet, on the morning of a proposed cease fire agreement, Hezbollah launched over 250 rockets at Israel.

TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY ROCKETS !!!

Isn't it possible that despite all this wanton destruction in Lebanon, Israel has somehow failed to destroy Hezbollah?

Most people complain about Israel killing Lebanese women and children - like I give a fucI< ... but I believe that what they have been doing is -
depopulating a buffer zone.

(killing all the people present in a specific area so they can use that area as a buffer zone)

alot of people ask me why I ask these questions, but let me just say that I am actually a government official who is venting my frustration with this situation which I deal with every single fucI

I keep hearing the news reports claiming American and Israel had no idea Hezbollah would be this much of a problem to fight. Everyone sees this war as a loss for Israel. They blew up the whole damn country and Hezbollah is still at it - in numbers too.

I believe it has failed to achieve what it has stated. It has not pushed Hezbollah passed the Litani and has not recovered its two soldiers. They have also put most of the world against by reacting the way they did. They have even created a massive support base for Hezballah where it did not exist (I am refferring to the suni population). I really hope we can get some peace in the area soon because this is too much.

It did however show that the U.S.A. is as strong an ally as you get. They have successfully convinced the population here that the kidnapping of two soldiers justifies the deaths of a 1000 civillians.

I think that the Israelis are trying to draw Hezbollah out. The response has been rather limited. If they wanted too, the could carpet bomb the he ll out of Southern Lebanon and use gunships to light up every sqare inch there.

Israel has not been sitting back during this time. Israel is stronger & smarter than Hezbollah. I wish I could say the same thing about the UN.

If they haven't been losing up till now, this cease fire will surely seal that fate. This peace will not last and is only going to allow Hezbollah more time to regroup and attack again in the future.

Looks to me like they are trying to cut off the escape of Hezbolla from below the river and wipe out the ones that are there. I think they should expand their operations as necessary to capture the Hezbolla leader and publicly execute that creep on a live broadcast.

Maybe if they wipe Iran off the face of the earth they might run out of rockets.
