I had to overcome much in my life because neither of my parents are genetically fit to have kids. My mother is 5' even while my dad is 5'7". Both are pretty ugly. They should have been sterilized. They are both philistines. Now I'm a 5'6" 21 year NYU college student who has never had a girlfriend and am forced to supress any sexual urge I might have. I asked approximately 23 girls out throughout my life and have been turned down every time due to my height. My parents both have I.Q.'s of peanuts and they were never able to support me financially or emotionally throughout my life. Now I'm an emotional AND financial cripple. Things WILL NOT get better for me as every day gets worse and worse. Why do people with horrendous genes feel the need to pass their genes onto the next generation? Dont they know that that will create suffering exactly the way I'm suffering now? I will try to fly to the Netherlands to undergo Euthanasia - or as I call it a very very very late term abortion.

I'm an agnostic-humanist in case you are wondering.

I'm pro-choice, but I must tell you that you can't blame your parents for your life now. You're old enough to make something good out of it.

Damnit Bro! Nix those thoughts! You can overcome this. You are the master of your own destiny. Forget about where you come from, and concentrate on where you are going. Being dealt a sh*tty hand doesn't mean you fold automatically. Don't you ever give up! Pro -Life has not one iota to do with this. I think this boils down to your perception of self. Medicate if you must, but know I think you can put your past behind you. NYU? You are moving in the right direction. Love interests come and go, trust me...been there, done that. See someone in student aid to assist you in your financial plight, but understand you have the power to con troll your emotional state. I'm pulling for you! Now do what you must to get out of this emotional funk. The rest is up to you.

Dear agnostic humanist

When you get to the Netherlands, see if they can perform the procedure accurately. Do not allow them to use any pain medication on you. Have them stuff you inside a very tight space somewhere. Then they can use some sharp hooks to pull you out. To do this the right way, they should not be able to pull you out in one piece. They need to rip your limbs off and maybe your head. Remember no pain meds, you'll want to get the full effect. After they have you out of this "new womb", they will need to reassemble your body to make sure they got it all. Good luck.

Or you could stop being a cry baby who knows nothing about the world and get on with your life. You might start by being honest and not coming up with such stupids lies to post on Y/A.

Ask out shorter girls. There are lots of them that are only 5 ft tall or even shorter. If you think you are ugly, it is in your mind. I do agree that while people should be required to have a license to have children, it should never be based solely on looks or intelligence. If you are a student at NYU and you have the linguistic ability you demonstrate in your question, you are hardly a cripple. There are millions of people in this country who could never even pass the entrance exam to NYU. However, it is your life and if you want to end it, go ahead, you don't have to spend the money on a trip to Holland, please leave it to a homeless shelter, because you will not be needing it if you decide to end your life.

Why would you want to take life away....as messed up as it may be? Things may not get better but why not live with your situation. Instead of sulking because 23 girls have turned you down...celebrate because you haven't found the right one. Always try to find something good out of every situation you are in. God has a plan for you. It is SO SO SO SO HARD to see that through our tiny human eyes but there is a plan.

Agnositic humanist? Yep, you are inferior. Seriously I doubt that your parents had much to do with what is going on now they are just an easy out for you.

Suck it up sweets and when you learn to smile and be kind others will enjoy being around you.
5'^" is not that short and there are plenty of girls out there under that if height is a problem for you. Personally if that is what is stopping you from dating thats sad.

They may have IQ's in the peanut category but do you? I seriously doubt the Dutch will Euthanise you for being short.

Let me guess, you're asking out beautiful woman.
Aim lower.
Retired TV host Mike Douglas died the other day.
On his birthday. He was 81. In a clip he talked
about afew of the people he interviewed. He said
he asked Mother Teresa,
"What the most terrible thing in the World was"?
She said "Loneliness", the world is full of lonely people.
Something he never forgot.
Look for that type person. If they are like me,
they are quietly looking back.
A chance to see some of Gods Earth was worth
it all. You're going to College. I see good things
in your future.

Being a college student, you must have been gifted with some intelligence from somewhere. Do you imagine what the majority of the world's population would do to be in your shoes? Some people dont even have feet. You may need professional help. See a shrink.

Overtness,

I'll tell you how this pro-lifer "feels" about this. You sir were made for a purpose. I can obviously see that you have communication skills. This is probably one of the most clearly written questions I have seen on Yahoo Answers since I began lurking here a short time ago. I'm not just humoring you.

God's word says we are "fearfully and wonderfully made" and that we were "stitched together in our mother's womb". I don't know what God has planned for you, but I do believe that He does have a design for your life.

There is a reason that you were put on this earth. Instead of trying to find reasons why you are a worthless person, you should find ways to be a better person. What does height have to do with anything? You seem (from your writing) like you are an intelligent person! You are not what life makes you, you are what you make out of life.

You are looking in all the wrong places for girls, you are obsessed with getting tall girls just find one who is shorter than you. I am 5'2 my mom is 5'2 my aunts are 5'3 and 5'4. There are plenty of people who are your height. There is someone for everyone. Go to a good church (you'll have to search because a church may seem great but they're blinded by sin) read the word of God and good things will come to you. You will go through many trials and tribulations but so does everyone else.
