God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I can not Change, Courage to Change the things I can and Wisdom to know the difference.

Now, search for the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Then... Find the location of a meeting... and make sure you get there.

Nobody can and nobody will help you better than you can help yourself. Its your own life that you're wasting away. The others that may be affected by your "disease" will find the nearest exit and leave you in the dust.

Also, look up The Promises of A.A.

You will be amazed, before you are half-way through!!!

I can type in the links for ease of access, but that would be wasting MY time. If you want help or know someone that WANTS help (Not NEEDS help, but, WANTS help)

That person must find the resources to get the help.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.

Try alcoholics anonymous. It really works! Also I agree with the idea of one day at a time -- however, when you first begin to get sober, it may even be a minute at a time. Go to meetings -- 90 meetings in 90 days.

A A keeps the meeting private to help those recovering. They can get help by finding true friends again.
