I have a Serbian friend living in America now. I can tell she is resentful of america's incursion into Yudoslavia cause whenever we start talking about world events, she claims America is psychotic and militaristic. She was basically one of those Orthodox Christians whose government was over there killing Bosnian Serbs.

I'm not sure if that's necessarily true but I will say I never really knew what side to believe in that war. I've met a fair number of Serbian-Americans who tell a whole different story than what has been the standard media story. I understand the history of the dispute goes way back to before WWII and the fact that the Serbs felt bitter resentment towards the muslims because they had been pro-nazi. I've heard some say we were on the wrong side of that one...I just don't know. I certainly wouldn't think it had anything to do with the amount or ordnance dropped. If the cause is just enough to fight, then you fight to win...I couldn't fault Clinton for that. I just didn't like him for other reasons.

Handle the War, yes I agree with how it was handled. If you've got the fire power I say use it. I don't see where Clinton can take too much credit for the work done by the military, I don't think he selected the targets or flew any of the missions.
I think thats probably right. You should add Clinton had the military take sides with Muslims against Orthodox Christians. That did us a lot of good, we really must have gotten some brownie points with the Muslims, well maybe not.
I don't see why we needed to get involved at all. We had no dog in that fight, and it would have been a good opportunity to ween the Euro-weenies off using our military as a European police force.

It has been unheard of to bomb for 78 days and killing between 5,000 - 11,000 civilians. This was a civil war with no attack on outside nations, the very people who complain about Iraq forget that there was a reason for it. Kosovo was not suspected of any terrorist activity - it was a small Rwanda & never proven to even be that. The suit brought by Yugoslavia was never heard since they are not a UN member. Should we have helped? yes, but not by 78 days of heavy bombing. Bombs do not know civilians from soldiers.

He did not handle it probably. He bombed the **** out of that country, killed thousands, and left it that way. Now they have nothing, and are millions of serbs, croats, and muslims dying from cancer from the chemicals. I know this because I lost a little cousin and my uncle from it there, and have many friends here in US that have family dying from cancer there. Before anyone says anything negative, why is it ok to spend billions building up Iraq but not the former Yugoslavia, oh ya they don't have oil. If u r gonna bomb countries be fair, fix it or dont. And who makes u God to call anyone bastards?

I do not believe that Bill Clinton handles anything right. I believe he acts before he thinks. I also believe that the reason he likes to show how much power he has as a president while he is one! He needs to think about all the familys' that are in morning, and extreme sadness because of all the problems he has caused. This is the reason he is not appreciated or as you say hated!

I don't know how much we bombed them. But in the post 9/11 world, it almost seems that the US was on the wrong side. My gut feeling is that the Clintons had some Serbian friends that screamed bloody murder about what was going on and drew us into the war.

This claim seems unlikely. A lot of the bombing in WWII was carpet bombing as accuracy was rough at best. Given the advances in targeting systems, why would so many bombs be needed in an area as small as Kosovo?

The war you speak of was handled by the UN not the United States. We had soldiers there as part of the piece keeping force.

The best thing he handled was Monica, and he did not even handle that one right, he should have made he swallow than there would not have been evidence. At least that's what I would have done.
