Woho! somebody speaking some sense!!!!
You are right the al-Quran does cover some points from the christian, jew, hindu and other religons views!!!!
Seriously think about it islam judaism and christianity are very simillar here are some facts:
Christianity:
ultimate reality- one God
other spiritual beings - angels and demons
revered humans- saints, church fathers
identity of Jesus- Son of God, God incarnate, savior of the world
birth of Jesus - virgin birth
Deat of Jesus- death by crucifixion
divine revelation- through Prophets and Jesus (as God Himself), recorded in Bible
means of salvation - correct belief, faith, good deeds, sacraments
good afterlife - eternal heaven
view of fellow Abrahamic religions- Judaism is a true religion, but with incomplete revelation. Islam is a false religion.
Islam:
ultimate reality- one God
other spiritual beings - angels, demons amd jinn
revered humans- prophets, imams (especially in Shia)
identity of Jesus- true prophet of God, whose message has been corrupted
birth of Jesus - virgin birth
Death of Jesus- did not die, but ascended into heaven during crucifixion
divine revelation- through Muhammad, recorded in Qur'an
means of salvation - correct belief, good deeds, Five Pillars
good afterlife - eternal paradise
view of fellow Abrahamic religions- Jews and Christians are respected as "People of the Book," but they have wrong beliefs and only partial revelation.
Judaism:
ultimate reality- one God
other spiritual beings - angels and demons
revered humans- prophets
identity of Jesus- false prophet
birth of Jesus - normal birth
Death of Jesus- death by crucifixion
divine revelation- through Prophets, recorded in Bible
means of salvation - belief in God, good deeds
good afterlife - views vary: no afterlife or heaven
view of fellow Abrahamic religions- Islam and Christianity are false interpretations and extensions of Judaism.

While I do not believe in religion in any form, and have not had a chance to read al-Quran, I find religion very interesting. I have read many parts of the Bible and Torah and have read about many other religions. I do, however, know (correct me if I am incorrect) that in Islam honors Jesus and Moses as prophets. Not in the same way Muhammad is honored, but prophets none the less. How ever I believe we are far from becoming "one." There will be fighting for many years to come. An unfortunate side-effect of so many religions is the fighting. Most war can be traced in some way to religious roots.

Dear Answer,
If you must know about religion, first get rid of the Koran. Read the torah, bible, or bhagavatgita. You will be far more enlightened about religion than the Koran can give you. Koran can only drill you in a fascist, uncompromising way of life, where death to the apostate is the only answer to a critic. After you are done with religion, throw all the above mentioned texts to the garbage, and become a humanist.

My friend the Quran is not needed. The Bible contains all you need, Old Testament and New testamnet. Any other gosple preached is cursed.
Paul said "Though we or an ANGEL FROM HEAVEN preach any other gospel to you that what we have preached, let him be accursed."
Muhammed supposedly got the Koran from Gabriel, well that falls under the curse brother. Jesus is the way the truth and the life. He is all and in all. He is all you need. He is God! We are one through Jesus!
Please allow me to teach you more on this! Email me sometime and we can discuss this further.

whosse two points- the only thing mohhand did was omitted stuff out the Christan Bible (since it was 600 years before he was even born and is that 60 percent of the two religion has some of the same teaching) that he did not understand and that could also justified his compulsive sinning.
ex. how can you preach to kill people that goes against your views but cant kill innocent people. every time a person is killed there is an innocent person killed (ex 9/11)
the tell us that God will fight all your battles because he is an almighty God
the Islam religion is a big contradictory.
kill people but dont kill innocent people how stupid is that. that's why people cant fly anymore to see there families because innocent people how to go through unnecessary procedures because they are afraid they are going to get killed.

Sorry, wrong again. The Bible and Torah were written well before the Quran and contradicts it. The Bible is truth, the Quran is not. Sorry, not interested in being part of your one world religion.

**Do you know that al-Quran had cover all the holy books including bible and torah?
Yes,
Al Quran Chapter2 verse 253 -Pickthal Translation
Of those messengers, some of whom We have caused to excel others, and of whom there are some unto whom Allah spake, while some of them He exalted (above others) in degree; and We gave Jesus, son of Mary, clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty) and We supported him with the holy Spirit. And if Allah had so wiled it, those who followed after them would not have fought one with another after the clear proofs had come unto them. But they differed, some of them believing and some disbelieving. And if Allah had so willed it, they would not have fought one with another; but Allah doeth what He will.
( It does appear that Allah is claiming Jesus for himself.)

that's great it 'says' that.
if Islam would act like that toward other religions, i might believe it -- but the religion in its base countries is clearly discriminatory against people of other faiths - and the biggest carnage in Iraq day in and day out is Shiite and Sunnis slaughtering each other - not reassuring to your point at all.

Which demonstrates that the Quran is also a book of mythology since it is based on the other books of mythology.
