Yes you could be pregnant. False negative pregnancy test results are common after recently giving birth. Go to the doc, and have him do an exam, draw blood, and do a sonogram. There really isn't a reason for you to have gone this long without a period since you aren't breast feeding.

It is possible that you are pregnant.

I had a baby on 2/10/2006, and I haven't gotten my period again yet. I did breastfeed, but only for the first 3 months, and I had an IUD put in for birth control and the dr says that this is why I'm not menstruating. It can take several months, and if you're worried, call your doctor for reassuarance or to make an appointment to be checked out.

It is very irresponsible of you to not be using some sort of protection. You can ovulate at anytime, and you can become pregnant again without ever having a period in between. And false negatives are relatively common on home pregnancy tests, if you test too early or if you hormone levels aren't elevated enough for the test to pick up.

you aren't any further meant to "wait till you get a era back previously having sex" - what nonsense! in case you nurse it is hardship-free no longer to get your era for months - perhaps a twelve months or longer! undesirable husbands if that become authentic! the reason you're instructed to attend some weeks (many times six) after giving delivery to have sex isn't some thing to do with fertility. it is because complicated artwork and delivery is a huge rigidity on a lady's body, and after a vaginal delivery each and every thing "down there" is rather sore, and ought to correctly be torn and stitched up, and he or she might want to nevertheless have her lochia (positioned up-natal bleeding) for as a lot as 6 weeks. She needs time to heal up previously she begins getting jiggy back! After a c-area it is significant abdomen surgical procedure human beings! she also needs time to heal. to respond to the unique question - certain, it is accessible. Ovulation takes position about 2 weeks previously menstruation, so if you're having unprotected sex on the time of your first positioned up-delivery ovulation you ought to get pregnant. that is called "catching the first egg!" good success and luxuriate in yet another 9+ extra era-loose months if you're pregnant! (I continually idea that become between the great elements of being pregnant!)

I didn't get my first period for 6 months after the birth of my first child. I breatstfed for 3 months and it took another 3 before my body restarted menstruation.

Although there is a chance, it is less likely that you are pregnant, as it is that your body is still readjusting and the hormones haven't gotten back to "normal" yet.

If you're breastfeeding, it's quite normal to have not yet had a period.

The test is probably right. If you're not confident about the results, get another one...repeat...
