The easiest way to make a chocolate milkshake is with eihter chocolate or vanilla icecream, a little milk, and some chocolate syrup (Hershey's is my favourite). Grab a blender and mix.
Pour into a glass, add a straw, and enjoy.

A couple scoops of chocolate ice cream, a generous squirt of Hershey syrup, and a little milk. Use the highest setting on your blender.
When made with vanilla instead of chocolate ice cream, it's called a "black and white" shake. Also delicious!

If I fooled with all of that I'd never have one! Listen, just get some chocolate ice cream and some milk...it's that simple.

either will work, it just depends on how chocolatey you want it.... you want to go into a chocolate coma, use chocolate ice cream, you just want to taste the chocolate... go for vanilla ( i personally would go for chocolate)
