In your opinion, is it possible for a buddhist to be a police officer? Any conflicts?

The question is what laws are they to be enforcing!!!!!!!!!!!!
Buddhist would not be a good secret police. They can't lie or keep secret (??!!), or at least not intentionally to cause harm).
It would be very difficult to kill a bad guy even in self-defense. They would feel better using taser or stunned gun type.
They might be a good religious police like in some Islamic states. They should enthusiastically stop drugs and alcohol use.
Of course, they would love to catch thieves because one should not be stealing!
They should also make good detectives following unfaithful spouses.
If you follow all these, you should realize that I just follow the basic 5 principles of Buddhism on what to do and not to do.
Seriously, a strict Buddhism would be a monk anyway and is more involving in the learning and teaching of Buddhism and not participating in the typical police type work.
Good and fun question though!

Depends on how pacifistic their interpretation of buddhism. I'm sure there are buddhist police officers in Japan that use non-lethal techniques to subdue others, like Judo!

It seems difficult for a Buddhist to take up any position, that is not charity based. That said, clarity of mind may help them do their job fairly. Surely they don't believe that government should fall in this day and age anyway. So, I'd say sure go for it.

It would depend on what the householder is trying to accomplish in his life. Being mindfull in choice of action and with skillfull intent, and there would be no problem.

Actions do not cause karma, intent does. In fact being a policeman would be a great form of merit making through selfless acts.
