most yards have fleas, and it is usually due to the cats that stray into our yards.
as for garlic i have used a quarter of teaspoon in 2 cups of food in my dogs food. every day for 10 years and my dogs have always been healthy

Most lawns do have fleas. But they usually have sand fleas but if you have a lot of sand at your house then yeah they are sand fleas and if you dont then you dont really have them but then again you do because you do have sand in the ground you know what i am saying. Because i have beautiful grass but then again i have sand fleas. Then they get on us when we're sitting out side enjoying the cool air and we bring them in on us and they get on your animals like dogs/ puppies, cats/ kittens. So that is what i know about fleas being in your lawn and i dont know how much garlic to mix with a half cup of food. Sorry

No, every lawn does not have fleas. And you shouldn't give them garlic. It can make them anemic. Use a good flea product, not Hartz, it isn't regulated and can either be water or so strong it will make your animal have seizures. I use Advantix.
If your lawn has fleas there are yard sprays you can buy to use on your lawn. Virbac makes an excellent one.

No, and don't feed garlic or onions to animals, they are toxic and cause anaemia (reduction in red blood cells) which can kill it, especially if they have fleas who also cause anaemia because they suck out the blood from your pet.
Go to the petstore or vet and get a real flea treatment.

Fleas pretty much can live everywhere.
Garlic doesn't work. Get some real flea protection from your vet, it's cheaper in the end than trying to deflea your entire house, dog, kids and treating your dog for worms (which are carried by fleas, great little buggers, aren't they?).

After I sprayed my yard with flea and tick killer. I put lyme out in the yard. Fleas do not like lyme and they will not cross over it. Snakes don't like lyme either and it makes your lawn greener

It depends on the owners if they have treated their lawns; I use Revolution on my pets it controls fles, ticks, heartworms, and ear mites.
