Whoever would become a leader of a certain nation, whether he won his position by fraud or honest deeds. God has chosen him. Read The Letter of Paul to the Romans:!3. The learning process of a nation would sometimes need a leader who could bring them to an unfortunate downfall. It is like you deserve what you got.
Read the Old Testament and observe the political life of Israel then. Learn how in their times when the Jews became so obstinate, their last gloriuos days was with King Solomon and his successors ended their eras like the waves of a giant surfs that totally settles flat to the shore.
In the early days, Israelites lived under the guidance of God through their Prophets and when people start clamoring for leader or king, they were warned of the unfortunate things that may happen to them. They still insisted because they thought their prophets would only want to perpetuate his position. And Saul became their first leader. Read the Book of Samuel and The Book of Kings.
Free Will could never be given if you insist on thinking that God is moving us on the table like chess pawns. So, if I have been God, I have no choice either but just to let any moron you choose for your leader, I am not the one voting.... you are.

President Bush, yes because I think God is supposed to treat his people like children, and let them learn from their mistakes. Hitler, NO! No one needs to learn from THOSE mistakes. Don't know much about the guy from Iran... from what little I have, no probably not, same for Bin Laden, I don't see how killing innosent people can be good for anyone, either the people they kill, their families or the people who do the killing. Unfortately with all these guys, and with God there is free will, so is it that he wants not to have control over these situations letting TONS of innoscent people suffer? Or that he has no control (either because he just doesn't have the power or doesn't exist)? Either way, I don't understand his ways, or his reasons. I mean if God is all knowing and all seeing, and stuff, then how did Lucifer ever get away with becoming the model of all evil, I mean IF I were God I would have seen if coming and been like... hmmm, maybe I shouldn't MAKE this one! And what about the tree of knowledge of good and evil, hmmm, maybe I should leave that one OUT of the garden of Eden? Wouldn't want those unreliable humans to get ahold of THAT, and for that matter, why even MAKE humans? Apparently we're all born with sin? So why not just leave the planet to the innoscent animals with no free will, no evil etc.

God gave us free will my friend. All the things you mentioned happened for one reason: Because . . ..

The Devil's Influence + Free Will and Human Weakness = The world we live in.

God loved Hitler and Stalin. God loves Charles Manson and Bin Laden. We are ALL God's children and we are beautiful in His eyes. The reason those "monsters" did those things is because they were mislead by the Devil. They were/are under the Devil's influence, as we ALL are. The only people to blame are the Devil and ourselves.

I hope this helps you understand. Good luck my friend.

By the way, you're SO SURE about God's NON existance because of Satan's influence on YOU and you're free-will to believe what you choose. God loves you and hopes you'll come home to Him some day. He will give you opportunities in this life to shrug off the Devil's influence and open your eyes and heart. But ultimately, it's your choice. As I said, Good luck my friend. Muah!

I am not God. If I had to guess WHY God gave us free will I might guess that it's becuase, without free will, we're not living, we're just robots, we're just actors reading a script. God Created us so we can LIVE, so we can think and do good things. There's no point if HE decides everything. WE decide everything. He created us and set us free just as parents "create" their children and then set them free. God, just as parents do, teaches us right and wrong, but ultimately it's up to us to make our own choices.

Good luck my friend. I don't have ALL the answers, but I hope this helps.

**If you had been God, would you let George Bush be US president ?

Yes, George Bush is the greatest U.S. President since Lincoln.
May God Bless George Bush.
Hitler, the leader of Iran, Bin Laden, Muslims and Saddam can all go to the same Heaven.
( I am assuming there is no cult distinction for God)

You wrote the question and you wanted our opinions.....now don't be a little boy and pout about it. Take it like a man.

God does not control our lives. I am so tired of hearing people blame God for everything that goes wrong in their life. WE voted the dumb-a s s in to office (TWICE). God didn't.

And here is another news flash for you. I am not a Christian. I do believe in a greater power than you and I. But I do not follow any particular faith.

Remember, you asked the question. We are just answering it. Don't shoot the messenger.

I dont like most governments. Most presidents, leaders etc are after their own benefits.
God has given man free will to think for himself so only on the Day of Judgement will it be decided who was good and who was bad.

I would let the people make their own decisions and accept the consequences of their choices. Of course, I would also make sure to let them know that was the case, rather than leaving them to be deceived and enslaved by self-serving 'holy' men. No loving God would ever want His children to kill each other over petty differences in belief.

You got it all wrong. The hats were supposed to be green!
