I have every ingredient but that? Will not putting it in there affect the taste or texture much?

they won't be very chewy that's for sure (brown sugar makes stuff chewy). I think it'll be fine though... I used to make chocolate chip cookies without brown sugar and they were less sweet, but I still thought they were good.
If you like your cookies as sweet as they're supposed to me, I suggest substituting half of the amount of brown sugar with white sugar.

It might affect both taste and texture if you skip it, try replacing it with white sugar, perhaps the taste and texture will be similar but not as accentuated as with brown sugar.

Not likely, most chip cookies use plain white sugar anyways. However, although i do suspect you dont have any, you could add molasses to the sugar, in the ratio of 1-2 tsp to 1 tbsp molasses to 1 cup sugar. But since you dont have brown sugar, you probably dont have molasses either.

No. You need the brown sugar for the browning and sweetness. Also, the molasses in the brown sugar gives the cookie that extra sweetness and texture.

the brown sugar helps the cookies stay more moist and a bit more chewy so taking out the brown sugar will make your cookies really hard and brittle. do you have corn syrup or molasses??? you can add some of that as a substitute.

You can substitute white sugar but they will not taste exactly the same. The suggestion to use molasses and white sugar is an excellent one, if you have that.

It"s just another sweetener so you can omit or use white sugar instead. It should not cause a problem.
