Someone suggested I start compiling data on my previous question, so I figured this would be a good start. I am sure that some will say it depends on the situation, but I am looking to see which guides you more, or which holds sway.

Mind. Definitely the mind. My emotions can cause my mind to do stupid crap on occasion, but it's still my conscious actions.

Both. Not even a mentally handicapped person would consider not using both. Downdrain is correct and I am impressed. However, failed to realize that heart in this case is figurative. I believe that we all have a left and a right hemisphere which makes up our brains. One side does one type of thinking the other side does another type of thinking. If you don't use the creative, should I even say, faith based side of your brain, chances are you have serious mental problems.

My mind and heart are connected... neither can act without the other's compliance. But Both guide my soul and what I inately know is right and wrong. There are times when one must do what is wrong and there are times when you cannot do what is right. Mind and Body(heart) guiding the Soul. That is what holds sway over my choices.

All decisions are made by thinking, which is done by the mind, which is located in the brain.

The heart is a muscle used to pump blood through the body. It's physically impossible to make decisions with the heart.

Both of course. Actually in every decision there is a part of everything, including intuition and gut feeling. I like to think I use my mind but the fact is I do use my heart often enough.

The mind is what is born out of this need to feed the growing living body of cells. The mind provides information about the environment such as the location of food. I believe my body creates thought and feeling possibilities that I call the unconscious mind. I believe my soul selects those thought and feeling possibilities that will manifest as my conscious mind and will. My conscious mind and will allow for the voluntary control and application of my body. Without a conscious mind, I believe my body would be unaware of it's own presence, unaware of it's own condition, and unaware of the surrounding environment.

I used to go with my mind... which I consider all the mental work that goes into a logical, well-informed decision. I now go with my heart... which I consider all the emotional work that is based more on feeling. If your "gut" tells you to do or not to do something, I'd listen to that anytime over what your brain tells you.

A balance of the two...the heart knows what it wants, the mind decides if it is the right choice.

Both! Isn't that the hallmark of who we are? I go for the heart, but run that decision by my mind to make sure it makes sense.
