How is your conditioning? I used to train in gymnastics when I was in HS and had no problem doing strength exercises. I could do 3 sets of handstand pushups of 40 reps per set. I could do tumble passes for 10 minutes nonstop. We didn't do so much weight training but my bench was about 50% more than my body weight. I could train for hours a day.

When it came to competition, I would get panic and anxious. I would barely be able to complete an event without getting winded. For me it was nerves about doing bad in an event. Maybe you're experiencing the same thing.

you're in shape. That's not a problem. Are you breathing properly in the ring? Make sure you are letting out with every punch, never hold your breath. Also, if you feel like you want to tear someone's head off, chances are you are very tense and excited. Calm down. Use your mind. Relax your body in there. Your body isn't all stiff and tense when you run your 5:18 mile and that's why you can do it. Do that and the rest is in your head. Good luck!

Its all conditioning big boss killa. You sound amazing on paper with your workouts and all. You probably overdo it. Don't run and lift weights during the week of a match. Spar a few rounds maybe, but do not work out. Do some biometrics or sumthin. Your body shutting down is muscle fatigue. Take a rest sometimes. Don't do any strenuous activities like heavy lifting, long distance running, or sex (lol). Trust me. If you do this, my money is on you!!!

Chazz ~
There was this guy Maurice that worked out at my Fathers gym, he was a Division1 wrestler, and he was ripped, built like a greek god not an ounce of fat on him, he would keep up with me in anything we did in the gym, I'm the coaches son see, and I'm suppose to set the example for the rest of the gym, I would try to out work him every chance I got but he'd keep right up with me, sometimes he'd even do more than me, that is except we we sparred, he lose his guts, he'd be dead flat within two minutes. I couldn't figgure it out here's this guy that can wrestle six of the hardest minutes you'd ever see, sprint faster than most collegate track stars but he lose his wind. I asked one time "Why do you get like this" he stated that his nevres from being in the ring, the thought of hitting and being hit just built up in him" he wasn't afraid because he would come back day after day and work like a complete horse but the outcome was always the same. Maurice had maybe 10 amatuer fights losing as many as he won but he was always in there giving all that he could. I'm not suggesting that you're scared or anything like that, I'm just saying it seems that you are on the same physcological page as Maurice was, and maybe it's just the nerves of being in the ring. Try this do all your shadow boxing in the ring, skip your rounds of rope in the ring, do all of your pad work in the ring, situps, pushups in the ring and put your raps on in the ring see if this helps hopefully it wii, it won't hurt. Good luck to you Chazz.
